The lake of Arló

In the 19th and 20th century coal was mined in the village and it caused smaller and bigger resonance because of its process. The Csahó hill was broken away 3 times from the west side and it closed the valley of the Szuhony brook. This natural baffle arrested the runoff of the fall from the 10 km long area and soon there was a lake instead of the meadow and ploughland. The water was getting higher and higher and it threatened the village with flood so it was neccessary to make the datum water level. The present water control was made with the help of the anglers. Finally, nowadays the lake has a constant size, it is 8,1 Ha. The inhabitants soon realized that the lake and the lake have good opportunities. They started to build week-end houses and then they could build out the strand. In these days the camping and the plage is still working. People, who spend their free-time here, can swim, fish and row. The week-end houses and this part of the area -around the lake- have drinking water, gas, television and telephone. The area was preserved by the local government.

The landscape protection area of "Tarnavidék"

This part of the area - called Ó-Bükk and Heves-Borsodi hill - was not very interesting in the last decades. There was not any interesting documents about the local flora and fauna. The enthusiastic conservationists light on the valuable animals and plants with hard and long work. After the exploration they procreated the landscape protection area, in which Arló's periphery is the most remarkable area. The Gyepes-valley is a real speciality for those people who know the nature. Many kinds of special animals and plants live in the valley's brook and among the alders. The valley is closed to all vehicles what gives a good opportunity to the tourists who want to be in quiet and calm.

The shooting lodge of "Ivánkapuszta"

The local people call this monument a castle because of its tower. Originally it was a small house for the hunters.

This romantic-mood building is in the Gyepes-valley, in the middle of a small orchard, circled by old pinewoods.

Art relic Roman Catholic Church

The church was built in the 15th century and since then it was more times renovated (in the 18th century) so this effected the present new baroque building. The pulpit and the pews are saved.

The final renovation was in the 1990's years. There is the parish next to the church in which the local nuns live who help the poor families with caritative works.

The patron saint of the church is Saint Michael.

The Traditional House

This old and traditional-saving house was bought in 1994 by the local government.

Till this moment the local government buys and collects the old articles for personal use.

First of all, the local people organise handicraft activities here such as: weeping, weave and puppet making etc.

In the yard of the building a Beehive oven was build in 1999.

The statue of Károly Kós

The local wood-carver made it and gave for the local government.

It takes place in the garden of the Traditional House.

The Millecentenárium Park and Monument

The park was created for the anniversary of the Settlement of the Hungarians in the Carpathian-basin in the center of the village. In the park's ground there is a saber, which simbolizes the Settlement of the Hungarians in the Carpathian-basin and the religion because of its cross form.

There is szekler runes on it. It was created by Ákos Nagy who is a teacher in the local school.
